Duchovny 'split from wife over Thornton text'

David Duchovny allegedly split from wife Téa Leoni after seeing an explicit text message from Billy Bob Thornton.

The couple confirmed their separation this week, with rumours since emerging that Leoni had been seeing her Manure co-star Thornton.

According to the Daily Mail, the marriage's collapse was down to Duchovny discovering messages from Thornton on his wife's phone and not his sex addiction.

The actress has also reportedly been spotted attending Thornton's concerts.

"She even helps him load and unload his truck," a source said.

However, Thornton's publicist Arnold Robinson was quick to deny rumours of an affair, telling E!: "Billy Bob Thornton and Téa Leoni are just friends."
