Williams, Jonze go public with romance

Michelle Williams and Spike Jonze have gone public with their romance at a film screening in New York.

Williams walked out of the auditorium with the director's arm around her waist. Jonze apparently kept caressing the actress's back affectionately during the evening.

"He couldn't seem to keep his hands off her," a source told People. "It was very cute."

Later in the evening they attended a Mulberry-sponsored party at the Gramercy Hotel's rooftop club.

One guest claimed the couple were stood so close together they were "practically spooning", while at 1am they were spotted kissing near the elevator.

The pair were first rumoured to be dating in July. Williams first met the director when she auditioned for his his movie Where The Wild Things Are.
