Steve Coogan's live stand-up tour has been blasted by audience members and critics, reports say.

The 43-year-old is currently touring with his show Steve Coogan Is Alan Partridge And Other Less Successful Characters, which finishes in Leeds in December.

According to the Daily Mail, heckling and booing has marred performances in Liverpool.

A spokesperson for the comic said the majority of audience members had enjoyed the show.

"A great deal of time and effort has gone in to the preparation and production of the live tour. We are sorry to hear that some people did not enjoy the performances," the representative added.

Coogan's return to stand-up after a ten-year break was announced in March, with the star recently hinting at a future move to US TV.
