Hamilton admits affair with step mum

Actor George Hamilton has opened up about an affair he had with his stepmother when he was aged 12.

Hamilton described the sexual relationship as "very normal" during a promotional appearance for his new book Don't Mind If I Do: A Memoir on American chatshow The View.

The 69-year-old said: "When I was very young, 12, I had a relationship with my stepmother. Yeah. She was about 28, 30. It was very normal."

The All The Fine Young Cannibals star said his father was aware of the relationship, adding that he was not abused.

"The bottom line is, it didn't feel abnormal. From my point of view it wasn't something so crazy - I don't think it warped me in my life," he said.

The Hollywood star made a television appearance on US show Dancing With The Stars in 2006.
