Furtado reveals secret marriage

Nelly Furtado has revealed that she married Demacio Castellon over the summer.

The popstar wed sound engineer Castellon, who worked on on her 2006 album Loose, on July 19.

Furtado said marriage has had a positive effect on her life, helping her to feel calmer.

"I just feel kind of free and relaxed and more in tune with trying not to be so stressed out," she told Entertainment Tonight Canada. "[I'm] trying to enjoy things a little more. I'm happy... I'm excited about the future."

It was previously reported that Furtado and Castellon had married in December 2007.
