Ritchie's dad brands Madonna 'beastly'

Guy Ritchie's father has stuck up for his son after Madonna insulted him during a gig.

The singer appeared to call husband Guy an "emotional retard" at the Boston concert on Wednesday - just a few hours after she confirmed her split from Ritchie.

78-year-old John Ritchie commented that Madonna is being "horrid" to his son, and added that the 'Vogue' star is "beastly".

Meanwhile, it was reported this week that Madonna and baseball player Alex Rodriguez are closer than ever, with the singer being linked to Rodriguez's divorce this year.
