Mel B guessed Mel C was pregnant

Melanie Brown knew former bandmate Melanie Chisholm was expecting a child before she made the revelation, the singer has claimed.

Brown commented that she received a text message from Chisholm asking her to phone her, raising suspicions that she might be pregnant.

"I rang her back, but before she could say anything, I went: 'You’re pregnant!'," she told Now magazine.

34-year-old Chisholm will give birth to her first child in March, and Brown says the former Sporty Spice will make "an amazing mum".

Brown last month admitted that she has hardly spoken to her former bandmates since they completed their comeback tour.
