Paltrow vows to support Madonna

Madonna's friend Gwyneth Paltrow has vowed to support the singer through her break-up.

The superstar confirmed she is divorcing Guy Ritchie last week, bringing to an end months of speculation surrounding the relationship.

According to The Press Association, Paltrow confirmed she would be standing by her friend at the premiere of her new film Two Lovers.

"She's a very good friend. I'm supporting her in all the ways that I can. I'm just there for her. I speak to her a lot," she said.

Paltrow, who is married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, reportedly begged Madonna to save the marriage for the sake of the couple's children.
