Eminem has revealed that he will be voting for Barack Obama in the November presidential elections.
The rapper said America "needs something to change" and described the Democrat nominee as a "breath of fresh air".
"l'll vote for Barack," he told Radio 1. "I can't get too political because I don't know enough [about the candidates' policies].
"I mean, I know we are going into a recession. Pardon the cliché but we need something to change.
"I think Barack would be a breath of fresh air, to get in there and actually get what's left of the Bush administration out the door."
During the interview, he also spoke about his forthcoming Relapse album, which is his first studio record since 2004.
"For probably the past five months pretty much straight I've been working with Dre," said the hip-hop star.
"There's going to be a lot of material, more so than any album that I have had with him producing.
"I've been kind of giving him the driver's seat. I wanted to try my hand at the producing thing. But one of the best things about being able to work with Dre is obviously his beats are insane."
