Hynde 'convinced' Obama won't win

Chrissie Hynde has said that she does not think America is ready to elect Barack Obama.

The Pretenders singer revealed that she does not foresee the US public putting a black man in the White House when they head to polling stations around the country on November 4.

"I like Obama, but he's not gonna win. Trust me, I know my people," she told Blender magazine.

Despite her admission, Hynde added that she rarely speaks about politics.

"To be honest, there's nothing I want to talk about less than politics. I'd rather vomit and lick it up."
