Brand 'wants to cleanse his soul'

Russell Brand has said that he would like to cleanse his soul.

The comedian has just invested in a hot tub which cleans itself, and remarked that he would like a soul with the same ability.

"I've bought a new hot tub ... It was quite pricey, but it does pay for itself," he said.

"It's self-cleansing, unlike my soul. I've started drinking chlorine in the vain hope that one day I'll reach enlightenment! It's like Lourdes...people come there to get cleansed."

Brand recently revealed that he received death threats after performing at the MTV Video Music Awards.
