Miley Cyrus defends Gaston relationship

Miley Cyrus has spoken up to defend boyfriend Justin Gaston, insisting that he is a "really great Christian guy".

The 15-year-old's relationship with Gaston, a 20-year-old model, has come in for scrutiny recently. Earlier this week a spokesperson for the Hannah Montana star denied allegations that the pair have engaged in underage sex.

Cyrus has defended their relationship, claiming that Gaston has "really helped me move on from a lot of things".

"Everyone started judging us as soon as we started hanging out," she told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show Thursday. "He's a really great Christian guy. He's gone through stuff, and I've gone through stuff, and everyone goes through that. I think it's really awesome that we have that in common - that we can talk about it and that we can understand [each other] ... He gets it."

Asked if the pair were dating, Cyrus replied: "Maybe ... maybe not".
