Underwood denies Simpson rift

Carrie Underwood has denied claims that she is feuding with Jessica Simpson.

Simpson is currently dating Underwood's ex Tony Romo and is reportedly upset that the two are still in touch.

Fellow country singer Underwood claimed that Romo, an American footballer, is the one keen to keep in contact two years after their split.

"The phone will ring and it'll be him, and I'll maybe not answer," she told Allure magazine.

She added that she has since encountered Simpson and does not think there is a war of words between them. "I met her once and she seemed really nice so I don't have a feud with anybody."
