Robin Gibb has claimed never to have seen Saturday Night Fever, despite composing the movie's famous soundtrack.

Gibb revealed that he saw only 30 minutes of the film at its US premiere in 1977 before walking out.

"It's not that I can't watch it ... It's just that I'm restless," he told Radio 4's Front Row.

"That actually is par for the course, because a lot of actors will go into a premiere and then go out the exit."

Gibb and brothers Barry and Maurice wrote the seminal soundtrack to the John Travolta movie, which featured 'Stayin' Alive', 'How Deep Is Your Love?' and 'Night Fever'.
