Jackson buys model plane on rare trip

Michael Jackson has been spotted buying a model plane from an antiques shop during a rare public outing.

The star browsed old items in the Off The Wall store in West Hollywood and was said to be in good spirits.

He bought an aluminum-cast model of a Pan Am plane while photographers and reporters looked on before leaving in an SUV.

"It was a little difficult because people were pounding on doors and windows...so he was in and out pretty quick. The paparazzi were in hot pursuit of him," a source told E!.
