Becks denies Scientology claims

David Beckham has denied rumours that his friend Tom Cruise is trying to recruit him into Scientology.

The 33-year-old told GQ magazine: "I respect any person's religion but he's never pushed anything on to us. Friends don't do that."

Beckham, who is currently in negotiations to make a temporary move from Los Angeles Galaxy to AC Milan, added that all his tattoos have a religious theme.

"I'm not too religious. But I believe there is something out there that looks after you," he said.
