Affleck: 'J.Lo relationship was a mistake'

Ben Affleck has said that his two-year romance with Jennifer Lopez was a mistake.

The actor thinks the high-profile nature of their relationship and its accompanying press attention were to blame for their split.

"I think Jen and I made a mistake in that we fell in love, we were excited and maybe too accessible," he told Live. "I don't think either of us anticipated the degree to which it would take on a world of its own."

The pair began dating in 2002 but split shortly before they were due to get married in September 2004.
