Clifford: 'I'm worried for Kerry'

Celebrity agent Max Clifford has said that he is "worried" about the health of Kerry Katona.

Clifford said the public didn't believe the claims of Katona and husband Mark Croft that she hadn't been drinking before appearing on This Morning last week.

"Kerry and Mark have both claimed the slurring was down to medication, but no-one I've spoken to in the media or the public believes that," he told Heat.

"Only this week she talked about how much she likes a drink and people are coming to conclusions. I'm worried about her."

He continued: "Her behaviour in the last few months is giving me increasing concern."

When asked what he thought was troubling Katona, he said: "She is obviously drinking. She has admitted it. She has told me that she learned from her mistakes years ago with regards to drugs and she hasn't touched them for a long time. I sincerely hope that's the case.

"I don't personally believe she's in a good place at the moment... What people who have been around her tell me makes me increasingly worried.

"People around her are telling me that she is drinking more and more, earlier and earlier."
