Andrew Sachs' granddaughter Georgina Baillie has called for the BBC to sack Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross.

The pair made a series of prank calls to Sachs on Brand's Radio 2 show, saying that Brand had "f**ked" Baillie before joking that the Fawlty Towers actor would commit suicide after hearing the news.

Speaking to The Sun, Baillie, a 23-year-old burlesque dancer, claimed the incident was "humiliating" and demanded that the BBC fire Brand and Ross.

"What's funny about humiliating a lovely old man who has never harmed anyone in his life," she said. "They are beyond contempt. They should at least pay for what they've done with their jobs."

She added: "Russell Brand has embarrassed me by making a private relationship very public in the cruellest way imaginable.

"We were lovers but I trusted him as a friend as well. He has betrayed me for a few cheap laughs and left my grandfather distraught.

"Is that what the BBC calls entertainment?"

Baillie admitted that she had received an apology from Brand: "I got a half-hearted apology from Russell on a voicemail, saying he was going to plug my burlesque group to make up for it. That's the most of an apology I've got so far."
