Hoffman becomes dad for third time

Philip Seymour Hoffman and his wife Mimi O'Donnell have become parents for the third time.

The Oscar winner confirmed at a Celebrity Charades event in New York that O'Donnell had given birth to a second daughter at the weekend.

"I'm a little out of my head. I had a baby two days ago," he said. "A little girl. Dad duties. Everyday life stuff is pretty overwhelming."

Hoffman and the costumer designer, who he met on the set of In Arabia We'd All Be Kings, already have children Cooper, five, and Tallulah, one.
