Ashlee Simpson 'ready to pop'

Pregnant singer Ashlee Simpson could give birth at any time, husband Pete Wentz has claimed.

Speaking to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show, Wentz confirmed the baby's imminent birth. "I'm permanently on call right now, she is at the very end, and it could happen at any point now," he said.

"She is excited, she's anxious," he added. "I think she wants it to be over. She just wants to not be pregnant anymore. She wants to have it because it's, like, a struggle to go up and down the stairs. Going out in public is insane."

Simpson married the Fall Out Boy bassist on May 17, 2008, having first met in late 2006.
