Cleese calls estranged wife 'a beast'

John Cleese has again attacked his estranged wife for demanding millions from him in their divorce settlement.

The 68-year-old actor has claimed that Alyce Faye Eichelberger has demanded £6.8 million worth of property and a £1 million payment this year.

Cleese, who currently presents Batteries Not Included on Dave, said that he has been forced to take on work just to fund his divorce.

The Mirror quotes him as saying: "I feel angry sometimes. The system's insane. In my 70th year I will still be spending two months a year doing work of no interest to me... to feed the beast."
