Olsen to keep kids from 'ugly' showbiz

Ashley Olsen has revealed that she will do her utmost to stop her children pursuing a showbiz career.

The 22-year-old came to prominence as a child with twin sister Mary-Kate in sitcom Full House in the late '90s, but thinks that the industry has since turned "pretty ugly".

Olsen insisted that should she have a daughter in the future, she will ensure that the child has the most normal upbringing possible.

"I would definitely want her to have a job and understand what it's like to work and how important it is to be something greater than yourself," she said. "But being in this industry or the industry I was brought up in, probably not.

"[Mary-Kate and I] worked after school and when we weren't on set we were in school. We never came across any problems. It was before the whole paparazzi phase, so it wasn't that bad."

Earlier this week Olsen revealed that she had developed an anxiety over the 'aggressive' behaviour of the paparazzi.
