The Prince Caspian actor said he had no problem filming love scenes with Biel for the 1920s-set film.
"We were just thrown into bed together. It's not the hardest job in the world to pretend to be besotted with her," he told the Daily Mail
"She's just lovely and is quite sensational in every way."
Barnes added that Biel's boyfriend Justin Timberlake need not worry about him stealing his woman, saying: "Justin came in one day to visit as a surprise and we were dancing together. He saw my dancing and wasn't at all worried or concerned after that."
