Parker works phones for Obama campaign

Sarah Jessica Parker has worked as a volunteer telephonist for Democrat Presidential nominee Barack Obama.

The Sex And The City actress's husband Matthew Broderick also spent a night attempting to persuade undecided voters from the politician's New York HQ.

"[Sarah] wanted to get involved in any way she could," a source told Us magazine. "She came and ended up staying until the end of her shift and made a ton of calls.

"She came to work, not for a photo-op!"

The Sopranos actor Edie Falco and Hollywood star Uma Thurman are also rumoured to be campaigning on the phones for Obama.
