Brand jokes about Baillie in live show

Russell Brand made light of his Manuelgate controversy while performing a stand up gig in Los Angeles.

The comedian, who resigned from Radio 2 last week, was testing out new material when he referred to Andrew Sachs's granddaughter Georgina Baillie, saying: "Burlesque and erotica - I've been rethinking of it of late."

The crowd are reported to have demanded further comment, but he told them: "It's too soon to talk about that."

Brand has been in Los Angeles since fleeing the controversy over his prank phone calls to Sachs.
