Pegg to receive honorary fellowship

Actor Simon Pegg is to be presented with an honorary fellowship from the University of Gloucestershire.

The Shaun Of The Dead star is being recognised for his "significant contribution to the arts".

Pegg, who was born and brought up in the county, said: "I'm honoured to be receiving this fellowship, not least because it comes from an area very special to my heart.

"No matter where I go, Gloucester will always be my home and I can't wait to come back for this special visit."

The actor will receive the award at a graduation ceremony on December 4.
