Richard Dreyfuss is to make an appearance in London's West End.

The Close Encounters Of The Third Kind star will play Ben Kritzer in Joe Sutton's new play Complicit, directed by Kevin Spacey.

He revealed that he is looking forward to treading the boards at the Old Vic, saying: "There is no greater place to be human than in front of humans. No greater way to reflect being human.

"No greater place than The Old Vic. I'm very excited to have a chance of not being fired before the opening."

Dreyfuss can also be seen Oliver Stone's new film W., playing George Bush's vice president Dick Cheney.
