Paris Hilton: 'Palin is hot and smart'

Paris Hilton has rallied behind Republican vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin, describing her as "hot" and "smart".

"I think she's hot and I think it's great that a woman is running for office," the hotel heiress wrote in Glamour magazine.

"I don't think she's stupid - she wouldn't be where she is today if she was stupid. I think she's smart, and it's just because she's a woman people are saying she's not."

Hilton's comments come after she created a political spoof claiming she would run for "fake President" with Martin Sheen.
