Mills's pool 'an asset' to firefighters

Heather Mills reportedly believes that a swimming pool she had built without planning consent could prove valuable to local firefighters.

Planning officers ordered Mills to submit plans for the feature, which she installed at her home in Robertsbridge, East Sussex, without permission.

Mills's agent David Bailey told the Rye and Battle Observer the pool could be a life-saver.

"In an emergency it could be used by the fire brigade," he said.

Meanwhile, chairman of Salehurst and Robertsbridge Parish Council, David Allen, said that local residents would meet next month to discuss the matter before it goes to the authority.
