Mel C plays down wedding reports

Mel C has denied reports that she is planning to marry Thomas Starr in the immediate future.

The Spice Girl, real name Melanie Chisholm, confirmed she was pregnant in August, sparking speculation she would wed the property developer soon.

However, Chisholm denied reports she was planning to tie the knot and laughed off rumours that Victoria Beckham had been employed to organise her big day.

"I know there's been a lot of things written recently saying I'm getting married and they've said the date and the church and that Victoria's organising it, but, no, we've got no plans," the popstar told The Paul O'Grady Show.

"But, you know, we say we'll get married one day but just not at the moment. I've always wanted to have children and it's just never been the right time for me. You have your path in life and you just follow it."
