Efron not 'ballsy' enough to go nude

Zac Efron has claimed that he is is not "ballsy" enough to appear nude on stage like Daniel Radcliffe.

Asked whether he would consider taking over from the Harry Potter star in Equus on Broadway, Efron said he didn't feel the need to strip off to prove himself as an actor.

"Daniel was very ballsy," he told TeeMix. "Oh wow, that is the wrong choice of word for that! He is very smart. I guess that was the fastest way to do it.

"But I don't know if I would do something edgy for the sake of doing something edgy. I think as I mature, so will my roles. I think it will come with time. I'm not going to do anything drastic."

The 21-year-old also said he wouldn't rule out working on more musicals following his credits in High School Musical and Hairspray.

"I love musicals! I've noticed that various movie studios want to get involved with making musicals and I think it's great," he said.

"They're making a comeback and so I think there should be more in the pipeline. Any time there's a musical, I'm up for being on board. It's fun."
