Beyoncé has revealed that she would love to sing when President-elect Barack Obama is inaugurated into the White House.

The singer supported Obama throughout the election and said she "fell asleep crying and smiling at the same time" when the politician beat John McCain in Tuesday's election.

The 27-year-old has now offered her services to the new President on Inauguration Day, saying: "I'm there. I can't wait. I feel like all of us, we're ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want. If they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I'm there, and I'm ready.

"I've never been so patriotic! I'm just beyond excited."

Beyoncé's new album I Am ... Sasha Fierce is released on November 18.
