The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer told The Sun that she loves the "thrill" and the "chase" of hunting bargains.
"I wish they had asked me to host Antiques Roadshow when Michael Aspel left. It would be my dream job," she said.
"When I was a kid my dad would wake me up every Saturday morning and we'd go out looking for stuff. Plus my mum was an antiques dealer in London, so I guess some of it trickled down to me."
Perry, 24, recently performed her first presenting job by taking the helm at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Liverpool. A dozen costume changes later, the singer finished the night by winning the Best New Act prize.
