Speaking to Sky News backstage at last week's MTV Europe Music Awards, McCartney said that he would like the opportunity to sing the Rubber Soul ballad 'Michelle' to the soon-to-be First Lady.
"I hope to get the opportunity to sing... to his wife. I have a little song ready for him," he said.
Voicing his thoughts on Obama's election victory, McCartney added: "I think sincerely he is the man for the job. I think it is a legendary occasion and I wish him the very best.
"I was so 'fingers crossed' he would win it. I'm so chuffed."
