Anderton arrested after suicide claim

Sophie Anderton has been arrested after she threatened to commit suicide in front of her ex-boyfriend.

The 31-year-old former I'm A Celebrity contestant is alleged to have confronted Ed Buxton and said "I'll kill myself if you won't take me back".

Police and paramedics arrived at the scene after 2am and struggled to control Anderton. She was arrested on harassment charges.

One witness said: "She kept shouting, 'I'll kill myself if you won't take me back.' She said she didn't want to live without him.

"She was scratching at her wrists and saying, 'I could do it, who would care? Nobody cares.' Ed kept saying they'd talk things over but she kept wrestling him away and screaming."

A source told The Sun that Anderton does not pose a threat to her own life, adding: "She said she'd slashed her wrists, but the injuries were not severe. It was a cry for help."

Anderton was later released on bail with a court date scheduled for December.
