Madonna introduces 'A-Rod' to close friends

Madonna has introduced Alex Rodriguez to her close friends, fuelling speculation that the pair may be an item.

The singer held an intimate dinner party for her close friends at which she introduced them to Rodriguez, known colloquially as A-Rod.

The news has apparently infuriated estranged husband Guy Ritchie after he heard that mutual friends of the estranged couple had been present.

"It is a massive slap in the face for Guy and he really finds the whole thing quite embarrassing," a source told The Mirror.

"As you can imagine, both he and Madonna share a lot of mutual friends who they still keep in touch with," the source added. "Guy found out through one of them about this party and was pretty pissed off about the whole thing.

"He thought it showed a great deal of disrespect to him so soon after the announcement of their break up."

Madonna reportedly sent Ritchie a list of 'childcare rules' that he must follow while their children are in his care.
