Beyoncé jet struck by severe turbulence

Beyoncé's private jet plunged 1,000 feet after being caught in severe turbulence at the weekend.

The singer was on a flight from Nice after performing at the World Music Awards when the plane was hit by strong winds.

She is reported to have remained calm throughout the ordeal and even offered to lend her support to the cabin crew.

"It was pretty hairy. But Beyoncé was probably the calmest person on board!" a source told The Mirror.

The popstar was en route to the launch of new album I Am... Sasha Fierce at the Mandarin Oriental in London when the incident happened.
