Rod Stewart and Robbie Williams had a row over Rachel Hunter at a hotel bar, claims singer Kelly Jones.

The Stereophonics frontman said he was sharing a drink with Stewart, Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood and ex-Guns N' Roses star Slash when the incident occurred.

He told The Sun: "I was at the Sunset Marquis Hotel in Los Angeles with Ron a few years back. Then Slash turns up and Rod Stewart a bit later.

"We're sat there and Rod gets up to go to the bathroom. Then I saw Robbie Williams walk into the hotel reception and head through to the bar.

"When Rod came back I mentioned it in passing that Robbie was there without thinking. It wasn't long after Robbie had started seeing Rod's old missus Rachel Hunter."

He continued: "When I mentioned it Rod got up and went through to set Robbie straight on a few things. He was rolling up his sleeves when he left.

“He came back through after as if nothing had happened but Robbie didn't hang about."

Jones added: "But you know Robbie's all right, man. You can't knock him for showing Ms Hunter a good time."

Stereophonics' new greatest hits album Decade In The Sun was released on Monday.
