Perry: 'I nearly threw up on Madonna'

Katy Perry has revealed that she nearly threw up on Madonna because she was so excited to meet her.

The 'I Kissed A Girl' singer was overcome by nerves when she got the opportunity to go backstage at one of Madonna's 'Sticky & Sweet' gigs.

"Madonna invited me to one of her shows - I was summoned by the queen herself," she told The Sun.

"I went backstage and I am never usually nervous but I lost it. I got so weak in the knees and I thought I was going to throw up."

She added: "But I needn't have worried. She was cool. She was so petite. She comes up to my chest and I thought she was supposed to be a giant."

Perry recently revealed that she was hoping to receive advice from Madonna on how to achieve longevity in the music industry.
