Will Young choked before a studio audience while eating a large sandwich on Everybody Loves Lil Chris.
Taking part in an eating contest with the host, real name Christopher Hardman, the singer proved unable to handle the 12-inch sub.
Lil Chris, who shot to prominence after an appearance on Rock School, in turn spat out his sandwich in fits of laughter as Young gagged on the food.
The contest, along with an interview with the Pop Idol winner, can be seen on Channel 4's T4, broadcast from 11.30 on Saturday.
