Dixon shelves autobiography plans

Alesha Dixon has revealed that she has shelved plans to release an autobiography because she does not want to reveal details of her private life.

The Strictly Come Dancing winner's marriage to MC Harvey dissolved when he was caught having an affair with singer Javine Hylton.

Dixon said she reconsidered writing her memoirs because she does not want to talk about that time in her life.

"I changed my mind. I wouldn't do it now because you have to be prepared to lay your soul on the line," she told The People.

"The perception of celebrities who write books is that they are being vindictive and that isn't me."

Dixon has been linked to Aston Villa footballer John Carew since splitting from Harvey.
