Goody credits Katona's alcohol bravery

Jade Goody has praised Kerry Katona for publicly admitting she has an alcohol problem.

The Big Brother winner, who is battling cancer, offered Katona her support in her New magazine column.

Goody wrote: "I don't think anyone should knock her for being brave enough to say such a difficult thing. I hope this is the first step towards sorting herself out."

Katona admitted that she is an alcoholic earlier this month, describing her addiction as an "ongoing battle" to be faced daily. Her revelation came days after she fired PR man Max Clifford for voicing his concerns about her health.

Goody said she hoped Clifford and Katona may work together in the future, adding: "She’s very vulnerable and needs someone to look after her."
