Sir David Attenborough has apparently defended BBC presenter Jonathan Ross over the Manuelgate row.
The natural history presenter's scheduled appearance on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross was put on hold when the star was suspended by the BBC following the controversial Radio 2 broadcast.
Sir David said it was up to the producers to stop the airing of lewd calls made by Ross and Russell Brand to Fawlty Towers star Andrew Sachs, reports Teletext.
Despite the affair, both Ross and Brand have been nominated for British Comedy Awards.
