Gates lands West End 'Joseph' role

Gareth Gates has reportedly signed to play the title role in the West End version of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

The singer and former Dancing On Ice contestant will take over the role from Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead.

Gates will appear as Joseph from January after playing Prince Charming in Wimbledon Theatre's panto Cinderella, reports Heat.

The 24-year-old, who shot to fame following his appearance on ITV's Pop Idol, recently married long-term partner Suzanne Mole in a secret ceremony.
