Spears 'married for the wrong reasons'

Britney Spears has confessed to rushing into marriage with Kevin Federline.

In her forthcoming documentary Britney: For The Record, the popstar claimed that she wed Federline "for the wrong reasons".

She said: "I think I married for the wrong reasons. Instead of following my heart and doing what made me really happy, I just did it for the sake of the idea of everything."

Spears married Federline in 2004 after a whirlwind romance. She filed for divorce two years later, with Federline being awarded sole custody of the couple's children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, after Spears suffered several public breakdowns.
