Pete Doherty wants to play football for pub side Queen's Head Rangers, say reports.

According to The Sun, the Babyshambles singer spent £500 on kits for the team, which feature a picture of him on the shirts.

Queen's Head Rangers are based in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire.

Doherty is a lifelong fan of Championship side Queen's Park Rangers and used to write a fanzine for the team before becoming a musician.

The team's manager Josh Morris commented: "We'd be happy to have him."
