Heather Mills has lodged complaints to the press watchdog about inaccurate reporting and invasion of privacy in both national and local newspapers.
Mills's grievances are against the Daily Express, Daily Mail, The Sun and London Lite, reports the BBC.
A spokesman for the Press Complaints Commission confirmed that it had received complaints surrounding "various issues including privacy and accuracy".
He added that an investigation is underway and will take up to 35 days to complete.
