Garner wins stalker restraining order

Jennifer Garner has won a permanent restraining order to keep an alleged stalker away from her family.

According to TMZ, the former Alias star claimed that Steven Burky poses a threat to herself, husband Ben Affleck and daughter Violet.

Garner's court papers stated: "Mr. Burky has been stalking and harassing me, [sending] packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the country."

Burky, who has reportedly been following Garner for six years, at one point turned up at her home and declared that "God had sent him a vision of her being persecuted in some manner that may result in her death".

The actress said that Burky's behaviour had "escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening".

Her lawyer won three years of protection for Garner, Affleck and Violet at the hearing in LA.
