Rockwell: 'I could never be a womaniser'

Rex Features

Sam Rockwell has revealed that he could never be a womaniser.

The single actor plays sex addict Victor Mancine in new movie Choke but insisted that he does not share the problem with his character.

"I'm not a great womaniser, because I don't like to stay up late, and I don't like to drink when I don't feel like it," he said.

"You go on a date and if you're filled with nerves, you feel you've got to drink. Or if you're out trying to talk to girls, you've got to stay up late and do the work. It involves a lot of drinking and a lack of sleep, and I just don't like that. And you have to keep track of numbers, it's crazy."

Choke writer Chuck Palahniuk recently described Rockwell as the "perfect" choice for the film's lead role.
